Description
Description
The WCZ-3 Proton Magnetometer is developed for high-precision magnetic field measurements. It integrates dual 32-bit microcontroller technology, offering enhanced speed, sensitivity, and user-friendly operation for field surveys across diverse terrains.
At its core, the WCZ-3 operates on the proton precession principle. Hydrogen protons in a fluid medium are polarized using a magnetic field. When the field is removed, the protons begin to precess at a frequency directly proportional to the ambient magnetic field. By measuring this frequency, the device calculates the total magnetic field intensity with exceptional accuracy.
Applications
- Mineral Exploration: Ideal for detecting iron ore, copper, lead-zinc deposits, and other magnetic anomalies. It helps define ore body depth, orientation, and continuity.
- Oil & Gas Surveys: Used to identify geological structures associated with hydrocarbon reservoirs.
- Geological Mapping: Supports both general and detailed surveys, including fault detection and structural analysis.
- Environmental & Engineering Surveys: Locates buried pipes, monitors seismic zones, and assists in archaeological investigations.
- Hydrogeology: Useful in groundwater studies and aquifer mapping.
- Base Station Use: Can serve as a reference station for aerial and marine magnetic surveys.
